PECAN SANDIES | |
1 c. butter (2 sticks) 1 c. white sugar 1 egg white 1 tsp. vanilla 1 1/2 c. all purpose flour 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. baking soda 2 c. Quaker oats (old fashioned, uncooked) 1 c. pecans, finely chopped Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg white and vanilla; continue to mix. Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and add gradually to above items. Mix well, then add oats and pecans. Mix again. Drop from teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees in preheated oven to approximately 15-17 minutes. Makes 4 dozen cookies. |
