BLACK MAGIC CAKE AND FROSTING | |
CAKE: 1 3/4 c. flour 2 c. sugar 3/4 c. cocoa 2 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. baking powder 2 eggs 1/2 c. vegetable oil 1 tsp. vanilla 1 c. buttermilk Boil 1 c. water, add 2 tsp. instant coffee Mix all cake ingredients well. Mixture will be runny. Bake in 9 x 13 inch pan at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes. Frost when cool. FROSTING: 1/2 c. softened butter 1 egg yolk 1 tbsp. milk 1/2 tsp. vanilla 3 c. powdered sugar Blend all frosting ingredients until fluffy. Frost cool cake. |
