CUCUMBER AND ONION SALAD 
4 sm. firm cucumbers
4 sm. onions
1/4 c. vinegar
Salt
Ice cubes & water

Put vinegar and several ice cubes in a serving bowl. Let ice cubes melt until vinegar is chilled (and diluted). Peel cucumbers and onions; slice both cucumbers and onions very thin into bowl. Add salt to taste and water to cover. Refrigerate 1 hour before serving.
