1 sm. pkg. crushed Oreos
2/3 c. melted butter
1 lg. cream cheese
1 c. powdered sugar
1 lg. container Cool Whip
1 box vanilla or chocolate instant pudding

Place your crushed Oreos (save some crumbs for the top layer) and 2/3 cup butter and mix well. Press in a 9 x 13 pan.

Mix cream cheese and powdered sugar and 1/2 of the Cool Whip and beat until thick (use a mixer). Spread on top of crumb mixture.

Prepare pudding as directed on the box and spread on top of cream cheese mixture.

Put remaining Cool Whip on top of pudding and sprinkle remaining crumbs on top.

This looks nice in a glass dish so you can see the layers.

Another name for this recipe is "Mud." This can be used in a hanging flower basket, using a "new" dirt digger to serve with. You put "new" plastic flowers in the center of the dish, so it looks like a basket of flowers. If you understand what I'm trying to say, this make a VERY interesting center piece and it's delicious!
