1 can cherry pie filling
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1 stick butter
1 sm. (9 oz.) pkg. yellow cake mix

Spread pie filling in 9 x 9 inch pan. Sprinkle dry cake mix over filling. Sprinkle nuts over mix. Place pieces or butter on nuts. Bake about 35 minutes at 350 degrees. Serve topped with Cool Whip.
