MARBLE BROWNIES 
6 sq. semi-sweet chocolate
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. maple extract
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. all-purpose flour
3 eggs
Sugar
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened

Grease 8 x 8 inch baking dish. In saucepan over low heat, melt chocolate and butter. Remove from heat; stir in flour, salt, baking soda, 2 eggs and 1/2 cup sugar until blended. Pour into dish; set aside.

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. In small bowl, with mixer at medium speed, beat cream cheese, maple extract, 1/4 cup sugar and 1 egg until smooth, occasionally scraping bowl with rubber spatula. Spoon over batter; with spatula, cut and twist through batter to obtain a marbled effect. Bake 40 minutes until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool on wire rack; cut.
