ROLLED SUGAR COOKIES 
2 c. sugar
2 sticks butter
4 eggs
1 tbsp. vanilla flavoring
1 tbsp. butter flavoring
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar (heaping)
Flour to make stiff dough (about 5 c.)

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time and beat well after each. Add flavorings, soda and cream of tartar. Add flour until dough is right consistency to roll. Roll thin, cut and sprinkle with sugar if desired. Bake at 350 degrees until golden brown.
