CABBAGE SALAD 
1 pkg. Knox gelatin
1 tsp. celery seed
1/4 c. cold water
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 c. vinegar
1 c. salad oil
1 1/2 c. sugar

Mix gelatin and 1/4 cup water until soft. Combine vinegar, sugar and spices. Heat until sugar dissolves (don't boil). Add gelatin, let cool until consistency of cream, beat in salad oil and cool. Let stand until thick.

Shred 8 cups cabbage, 1 green or colored bell pepper, 2 medium carrots, 1 medium onion. Let stand overnight or longer. Good for several days.
