ZWIEBELWAEHE OR ONION PIZZA 
FILLING:

1/2 lb. onions
8 oz. bacon
2 tbsp. butter
3 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. heavy cream
1 egg, beaten

CRUST:

2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. shortening
3-4 tbsp. cold water

Sift flour with salt and baking powder. Cut in shortening and sprinkle with water. Roll out to fit large size pizza pan. (Or use 3 pie crust sticks.)

Cut onions into 1" strips and braise in butter until slightly tender and glazed; let cool. Mix heavy cream with egg, flour, salt. Spread onions evenly over pie crust. Sprinkle bacon pieces over onions. Pour cream mixture evenly over onions and bacon. Bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes.
