3 cups flour
1 tsp baking power
1 tsp salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 cup sugar
1 cup shortening
2 eggs
4 tbsp milk
2 tsp vanilla

Sift flour, baking powder, salt, soda, and sugar together. Cut in shortening. Blend in eggs, milk and vanilla. Roll out on floured table to 1/16 inch thickness cut into shapes using your favorite cookie cutters. Sprinkle with sugar or leave plain to frost after baking.

Bake 6 - 8 minutes at 400°F. DO NOT OVERBAKE! We like to make these cookies at Christmas time frosting them with different colored frosting and then adding different kinds of sprinkles. Great fun for the whole family.
