CLASS #6 PEACH MELBA BOMBE | |
Line a bowl of the proper size to serve your guests with Saran Wrap or 2 criss- cross strips of waxed paper which extend outside the bowl. Line the inside of the bowl with ladyfingers, the sugared side facing the outside of the bowl. Mix: Canned, sliced peaches, drained, dried with paper towels and cut in half 1/2 tsp. almond extract 1/2 jar good raspberry jam Sm. pkg. frozen raspberries, thawed and drained Pack into the bowl. Cover the top with ladyfingers. Cover with Saran Wrap and freeze. To serve: Use the Saran Wrap or waxed paper to aid in removing the bombe from the bowl and place on a serving plate. Pipe with Cool Whip and decorate with whatever you like. Optional filling: Mix Cool Whip with melted semi-sweet chocolate. Fold in some slivered toasted almonds and 1/2 teaspoon almond extract. Decorate with slivered almonds. |
