Bread crumbs (1 pkg. cornbread mix & 1 pkg. biscuit mix) Chicken broth (canned or from fresh hen) 1/3 c. celery, chopped 1/3 c. onion, chopped Sage to taste, crushed 1/8 lb. butter Cook cornbread and biscuits; crumble. If boiled hen broth is used, take off most of fat; add hot broth to bread crumbs and let stand several minutes until well soaked. Add celery, onions, sage and butter. Mix well. Be sure mixture is real moist so it won't dry out during cooking. Add more broth if necessary. Cook in pan or casserole dish at 350 degrees for 45 minutes to 1 hour. |
