A PARTY SNACK | |
2 cans whole water chestnuts Sliced bacon 1 1/2 c. catsup 1 c. sugar Toothpicks Drain water chestnuts. Cut each slice bacon in thirds. Wrap each water chestnut in bacon strip, fasten with toothpicks. Place in baking dish and bake for 15 to 20 minutes in 350 degree oven or until most of the fat has melted from bacon. Remove chestnuts and drain on paper towels. Drain fat from baking dish and place chestnuts in baking dish. Mix catsup and sugar together and pour over. Bake in 325 degree oven until the catsup mixture is syrupy. Serve warm. |
