THUMBPRINT COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter
1/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. dark Karo corn syrup
1 egg, separated
1 1/4 c. flour
1 c. chopped nuts
Jelly

Mix butter and sugar; stir in Karo syrup, egg yolk, and flour; chill. Roll into 1-inch balls. Dip into slightly beaten egg whites. Roll into nuts.

Place on greased baking sheet. Press thumb in center of each cookie. Bake in 325 degree oven about 20 minutes. While warm, fill with jelly. Makes about 2 dozen.
