STRAWBERRY PIE 
CHEESE LAYER:

1/2 c. sifted powdered sugar
1/2 tsp. almond extract
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 c. cream, whipped
1 baked pie shell

FILLING:

1 qt. fresh strawberries, sliced or whole
Sugar & drawn juice
1 tsp. lemon juice
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1 tsp. butter
1 tsp. red food coloring

Slice and sweeten berries. Let stand, then drain thoroughly. Combine lemon juice, strawberry liquid and enough water to make 1 cup liquid. Blend small amount of liquid with cornstarch in saucepan. Gradually add remaining liquid. Cook over medium heat until thick and clear. Remove from heat. Add 2 or 3 cops red coloring and butter. Cool. Add sugar and flavoring to cream cheese and beat until smooth in food processor. Fold in whipped cream. Spread evenly over bottom of baked pie shell. Chill thoroughly. Arrange strawberries over chilled cheese layer, spoon glaze over berries. Chill until served.
