BEEF CASSEROLE 
1 lb. ground beef
2 tbsp. shortening
1 chopped onion
2 (#2) cans tomatoes
1 tbsp. ketchup
1 tbsp. A-1 sauce
1/4 c. chopped green bell pepper
2 tbsp. parsley
5 oz. macaroni
Salt and pepper to taste
1 can mushroom soup
1 c. sharp cheese, grated

Brown meat in shortening; add onions, tomatoes, ketchup, steak sauce, pepper and parsley. Simmer for 30 minutes. Cook macaroni and drain. Combine with meat mixture in casserole. Add mushroom soup and top with grated cheese. Bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Very good; can be frozen ahead.
