BREAD AND ROLLS 
2 pkgs. dry yeast
2 c. warm water
1/3 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 c. sifted flour
3 tbsp. melted shortening

Dissolve yeast in warm water; add sugar and salt. Stir. Add flour; stir and add shortening. Add more flour to make stiff dough - not too stiff, about 6 cups. Knead and let rise in warm place, covered, until doubled in bulk. Punch down. Knead and put in rolls, or bread pan. Bake at 400 degrees until done. Put melted shortening on rolls and also dough.
