HAMBURGER VEGETABLE CHOWDER | |
1 lb. lean ground beef 3 tbsp butter or oil 2 c. canned tomatoes with juice 2 medium carrots diced 1/2 c. diced celery 1 medium onion chopped 2 tsp salt 1/4 tsp pepper 1 1/2 qt water 1/3 rice Brown hamburger in oil over medium heat; add all other ingredients except rice. Cook on low for one hour then add rice. Cook until rice is done. Add more water or tomato juice if liquid is too thick. |
