HAND COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter
2/3 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. double acting baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
Tubes of icing or gel

Mix in large bowl with mixer on medium speed. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy, beat in vanilla and continue beating until well mixed. Add flour, baking powder and salt until blended. Wrap and chill 1 hour. Preheat oven at 350 degrees. Grease 2 cookie sheets. Roll and cut. Bake 10 minutes. Makes 15. Cut dough according to child's hand size.
