BUTTERMILK ROLLS 
4 1/2 c. flour
2 pkg. yeast
1/2 c. warm water
3 tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 c. buttermilk
salt
1 tsp. baking soda
3 tbsp. shortening

Dissolve yeast in warm water. Mix all ingredients together. Let stand 10 minutes; pour on floured board. Knead a few minutes and make into rolls; let rise for 30 minutes.

Bake at 350°F.
