BUTTERED MUSHROOMS 
1 or 2 lbs. mushrooms, sliced

Simmer mushrooms in water until done, 25 minutes or more. In another pot saute chopped onions (to taste, maybe 1/2 cup or more) in 1 to 1 1/2 sticks butter until tender. Add 2 tablespoons flour (you can use more flour).

Drain mushrooms and save mushroom water. Add mushrooms to onions and add just enough mushroom water so it looks like a thick gravy. Salt and pepper to taste.
