2 pkgs. dates
2 c. boiling water
2 c. flour
2 eggs
2 tsp. baking soda
2 c. nuts
2 c. sugar
2-3 tbsp. butter

Add soda and boiling water to dates and mash well. Cream sugar and butter, add eggs then date mixture, flour and nuts. Bake in greased and floured tube pan at 325 degrees for 1 hour or until done.
