FEIJOA COBBLER (QUICK AND EASY) 
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
1 cup self-rising flour
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup milk
30 Feijoas, skinned and halved (Pineapple Guava fruit)
1/4 cup sugar, to top
2 tsp. cinnamon

Preheat your oven to 375°F (180°C).

Place the butter in a small casserole and melt in the oven. When melted, add the Feijoas and mix with the butter.

Sieve the flour and the sugar and add the milk to make a smooth batter. Pour over the fruit and sprinkle with the remaining sugar and cinnamon.

Bake in preheated oven for around 40 minutes or until golden. Remove and allow it to stand for at least 10 minutes to absorb all the juice. Serve warm.

VARIATIONS:

Option 1. Replace 10 of the Feijoas with a 16 oz. can of drained peaches.

Option 2. Add some passion fruit pulp (fresh is best) to the Feijoas before covering with the batter.
