1 1/2 c. lard 3 c. sugar 1 1/2 c. sour milk 3 eggs 3 tsp. vanilla 1 1/2 c. cocoa 6 c. flour 3 tsp. salt 3 tsp. baking soda 1 1/2 c. water Cream lard and sugar. Add well beaten eggs, sour milk, vanilla, flour, cocoa and salt. Dissolve soda in hot water, add to mixture. Drop by teaspoonfuls. Bake at 375 for 10 to 12 minutes. FILLING: 3 egg whites 3 tsp. vanilla 1 1/2 c. Crisco 6 tbsp. milk 3 c. powdered sugar Beat egg whites until stiff. Add vanilla, milk, Crisco and powdered sugar. Mix well. Put fillings between each cookie. |
