QUICK CEREAL COOKIES 
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. lemon extract
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 c. baking powder
1 egg
1 c. rolled oats
1 c. corn flakes

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Cream shortening and sugars together; add egg and extract; stir. Add dry ingredients and then cereal. Drop by teaspoonful onto ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake for 9-11 minutes.
