CHOCOLATE FILLING:

2 c. sugar
3/4 c. cocoa
1 1/2 c. water

Let come to a boil, then let cool.

CAKE BATTER:

3 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3 eggs
2 c. sugar
3/4 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Add shortening, 1 cup milk, eggs and vanilla and remaining milk.

PIE CRUST:

3 c. flour
1 c. shortening
1/2 tsp. salt
8 tbsp. ice water

Line pie plate with crust, pour cake batter. Then pour the chocolate filling over top, making super odd patterns. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes.
