CHOCOLATE MARSHMALLOW COOKIES | |
1 3/4 c. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/2 c. cocoa 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 c. pecans 1/2 c. shortening 1 c. sugar 1 egg 1/4 c. milk 18 marshmallows cut in 1/2 Sift dry ingredients. Cream shortening, sugar, egg, vanilla and milk. Beat well. Add dry ingredients; mix well. Drop by teaspoon onto greased cookie sheets. Bake 8 minutes at 350 degrees. Don't over bake. Remove from oven and press half marshmallows, cut side down on top of each cookie. Bake 2 minutes longer. Cool and ice. Place pecan halves on top. ICING: 2 c. powdered sugar 5 tbsp. cocoa 1/2 tsp. salt 3 tbsp. soft butter 4-5 tbsp. light cream |
