CHOCOLATE MARSHMALLOW COOKIES 
1 3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. cocoa
1/2 c. pecans
18 marshmallows, cut in half
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. milk
1/2 c. shortening
Chocolate Frosting
Pecan halves

Sift together flour, salt, soda, and cocoa. Cream shortening and sugar; add egg, vanilla and milk. Beat well. Add dry ingredients and blend. Drop by teaspoons onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 minutes. (Don't over bake.) Remove from oven and press 1/2 marshmallow, cut side down, on top of each cookie. Bake 2 minutes more. Cool. Frost with chocolate icing and top with a pecan.
