2 1/4 c. unsifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. butter (1/2 butter, 1/2 Crisco)
3/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. packed brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
6 oz. chocolate chips
Nuts or raisins, if desired

Mix flour, baking soda and salt together. Cream butter, sugars together. Beat in vanilla and eggs. Add all to flour mix. Mix well. Add chips.

Spread on greased 15x10 cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees 20 minutes. Cool, cut into 2 inch squares. Makes about 35 squares. If you grease hands while spreading on pan it is easier.
