2 c. sugar
2 c. butter (I use 1/2 butter 1/2 shortening)
2 eggs beaten
2 tsp. vanilla
4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Add dry ingredients together. Roll into 3/4 inch balls. Place on cookie sheet, flatten with glass that has been dipped in sugar. Do not flatten out too much.

Bake at 350 degrees just until cookies start to turn brown.
