SCOTTISH OAT SCONES 
1 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 c. oats
1/4 c. sugar
1 tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 c. butter, melted
1/3 c. milk
1 egg, lightly beaten
1/2 c. lowfat yogurt
2 tbsp. vegetable oil

Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Melt and lightly brown the butter. Mix the dry ingredients together. Add butter and other ingredients to dry ingredients. Knead several times. Pat into an 8 inch circle. Cut into 8 wedges. Place wedges on greased bakery sheet. Bake approximately 12 minutes. Variations: Add raisins.
