ESAU'S POTTAGE 
1/3 c. brown rice, dry
1 c. brown lentils, dry
1/4 tsp. sweet basil
2 bay leaves
1/4 tsp. salt
3 1/3 c. water

Mix all ingredients together and simmer covered for 1 hour until water is completely absorbed. Remove bay leaves before serving. Can be placed in covered casserole and baked at 350 degrees for 20-30 minutes before serving. Makes delicious sandwiches with whole wheat bread and soy mayonnaise. Excellent combination of grain and legumes.
