TERIYAKI BEEF OR CHICKEN 
1/2 c. soy sauce
1/4 c. brown sugar
2 tbsp. oil
1 tsp. dry ginger
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 cloves garlic (or garlic powder)

Add sauce mixture to 1 1/2 pounds of steak cut in strips or chunks for (shish- ka-bob) or to chicken fryer parts. Let stand 2 hours or more. Grill or stir fry meat. Heat left over sauce and serve over rice.
