FRUIT COOKIES 
4 eggs
1 1/2 c. butter
2 tsp. cloves (optional 1 tsp.)
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 lb. dates, chopped
5 c. flour or more
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
8 c. pecans
1 lb. white raisins
4 pineapple rings, candied (2 green is enough)
1 pkg. dried apricots
2 (10 1/2 oz.) bottles maraschino cherries
2 tsp. baking soda dissolved in 4 tbsp. whiskey or hot water

Drop by teaspoons on greased cookie sheet. Bake in 275 degrees or 300 degrees oven for 20 minutes.
