JAM CAKE 
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. cinnamon
3 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. blackberry jam
1 c. butter
1 c. buttermilk with tsp. baking soda
3 eggs
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream 1 cup butter and 1 cup sugar; add spices and cocoa, then jam and milk. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Cook in layer pans in 325°F oven about 45 minutes. Frost.

Combine 2 cups sugar, 1/2 cup butter, 1 cup buttermilk and vanilla and cook until forms a soft ball. Remove from heat and beat until smooth.
