CHOCOLATE POUND CAKE 
1/2 lb. butter (2 sticks)
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 lb. Crisco (1/2 c.)
3 c. sugar
1 c. pecans
5 eggs
1 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour
1/2 cocoa
1 c. milk

Sift together flour, baking powder, salt. Cream butter and Crisco together with sugar. Add eggs one at a time and cream. Add flour and milk about half at time. Beat well after each addition. Add vanilla and pecans. Cook in tube pan for 1 hour 15 minutes at 350 degrees.

CHOCOLATE ICING:

2 c. sugar
1/2 c. milk
2 tbsp. cocoa
1 stick butter

Cook 2 minutes or until forms a soft ball when dropped in cold water.

Beat until ready to spread.
