BISCOCHITOS 
1 lb. creamed shortening
2 tsp. anise seed or extract
6 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. salt
1/4 c. water

Mix creamed shortening, sugar, anise and beaten eggs; blend until light and fluffy. Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Add to creamed mixture along with water. Knead until well mixed. Roll out between waxed paper to a 1/2-inch thickness or less. Cut with cutter desired. Sprinkle with sugar, cinnamon mixture and bake at 350 degrees until lightly browned. Yield: 8-10 dozen cookies.
