1 c. lukewarm water 1 pkg. dry yeast 1 1/2 tsp. salt 2 to 3 c. flour Dissolve the yeast in 1 cup lukewarm water. Add the salt, then the flour to make a stiff dough. Knead the dough vigorously until it is smooth and elastic and blisters form on the top. Cover and let rise until doubled. Punch it down, divide into six equal parts and form into balls. Let the dough rest under a damp towel or sheet of plastic wrap for about 10 minutes. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Roll out each ball with a rolling pin to form a flat circle, and place the circles on a greased baking sheet. Let them rise for 10 minutes, turn each one over, and bake in a 400 degree oven for 10 to 15 minutes. |
