WHIPPING CREAM POUND CAKE 
3 c. sugar
1/2 lb. butter, softened
7 eggs, room temperature
3 c. cake flour, sifted twice
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 c. whipping cream
2 tsp. vanilla extract

Butter and flour 10 inch tube pan. Cream butter and sugar thoroughly. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well 2-3 minutes after each egg. Mix in 1/2 dry ingredients, then the cream, then other 1/2 dry ingredients. Add vanilla.

Pour batter into prepared pan. Set in cold oven and turn heat to 350 degrees. Bake 1 hour to 70 minutes until sharp knife comes out clean. Remove from pan. Cool completely. Wrap well.
