PEAR BREAD 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 c. yogurt or buttermilk
1 c. coarsely chopped pears
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter, gradually beat in sugar. Beat eggs in 1 at a time. Combine dry ingredients. Add to egg mixture alternately with yogurt or buttermilk. Stir in pears and vanilla. Pour into buttered 9 x 5 x 3 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
