OVEN STEAK WITH MUSHROOM SOUP 
2 1/2 lb. round steak
1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 onion, sliced
1 can mushroom soup

Sprinkle meat with flour, salt and pepper. Pound with meat mallet. Brown on both sides in hot shortening. Layer steak and onion slices in a greased casserole. Spoon soup over top. Bake in a slow oven, 325 degrees, for 1 1/2 hours. Add water if necessary. Serves 8.
