BREAD PUDDING 
6 slices of torn up bread
2 c. milk
3 tbsp. butter
2 eggs
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla

Scald milk with butter. In large bowl beat eggs and add sugar, cinnamon, salt and vanilla. Add bread and milk and mix well. Pour into greased 8 x 8 pan and bake in 325 degree oven 40 to 50 minutes until toothpick inserted comes out clean. Place pan of water in bottom of oven.

LEMON SAUCE FOR PUDDING:

1/8 c. cornstarch
1/3 c. sugar
3/4 c. water
1 tbsp. butter
1/8 c. lemon juice
Yellow food coloring

Mix cornstarch and sugar. Add water. Cook until thick and clear. Remove from heat and add butter and lemon juice and few drops of coloring, if desired. Spread on baked pudding.
