MICROWAVE QUICHE | |
1 lightly baked 9 inch pie shell in glass plate 1 pkg. frozen chopped broccoli, thawed (or fresh) 1 c. shredded Swiss cheese 4 eggs 3/4 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. fresh ground pepper 1 1/2 c. half and half or heavy cream Drain broccoli well, sprinkle on bottom of pie shell. Sprinkle with Swiss cheese. Beat eggs, salt and pepper. Microwave half and half at 100% power for 2 1/2 to 3 minutes until steaming. Beat cream slowly with egg mixture; pour into pie shell. Microwave 75% power for 12-13 minutes until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Let stand 10 minutes before serving. You can also add cooked mushroom or ham if desired before cooking. |
