HOT BLACK - EYED PEAS 
3 slices bacon
1 (17 oz.) can black eye peas
1 (16 oz.) can whole tomatoes, undrained & chopped
1 c. chopped onion
1 lg. green pepper, chopped
Salt to taste
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tsp. ground cumin
1 tsp. dry mustard
1/2 tsp. curry powder
1/2 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. pepper

Cook bacon slices in large skillet until crisp and remove; crumble and set aside. Stir into grease remaining ingredients. Bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer until peas are tender. Stir occasionally. Pour mixture into serving dish. Sprinkle with bacon. May add parsley.
