RAISIN PIE
2 c. seedless raisins
2 c. water
1/2 c. brown sugar, packed or pressed down
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. vinegar
1 tbsp. butter
2 pie shells to fit a 9 inch pan (or make your own pie crust)

Boil raisins in 1 3/4 cups of water for 5 minutes. Combine brown sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, and salt. Moisten with remaining 1/4 cup of cold water and add to raisins, stirring until mixture boils. Remove from heat and add butter and vinegar. Pour into pie shell, then put pie shell on top and work edges together and bake. (It would be better to make your own pie crust if you can.)
