EASY WHITE MOUNTAIN FROSTING 
1 egg white
3/4 c. sugar
1/8 tsp. cream of tartar or 1 1/2 tsp. corn syrup
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. boiling water

For 9"x13" pan. Mix first 4 ingredients in small deep bowl. Add boiling water and beat with electric mixer until stiff peaks form, about 4 to 5 minutes. Frost cake. Don't cover, store in refrigerator. Double for layer cake.

This recipe would work much better if you dissolve the sugar and cream of tartar in the hot water first. Heat until the sugar is dissolved and then slowly add to the egg white and vanilla and beat quickly until stiff peaks form.
