4 c. toasted oat cereal 4 c. crispy rice cereal 1 c. sugar 1 c. light corn syrup 1 c. peanut butter 1 (8 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pieces 1 (8 oz.) pkg. butterscotch morsels In a large bowl combine cereals. In a medium saucepan, combine sugar and corn syrup. Cook, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Add peanut butter; stir to blend. Pour over cereal mixture in bowl, stirring quickly to coat. Press mixture into a 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan. In a small saucepan, combine chocolate pieces and butterscotch morsels. Cook, stirring constantly, until pieces and morsel are melted and well blended. Spoon over mixture in pan. Spread evenly. Let cool in pan. Cut into squares in pan. Makes 2 dozen - 2 inch squares. |
