CANDIED YAMS CASSEROLE | |
8 c. raw sweet potatoes, shredded 3 sticks butter 3 c. sugar 1 c. brown sugar 2 c. milk 1 tsp. vanilla 1 tsp. cinnamon 4 eggs 1/2 c. finely chopped pecans 3/4 c. pecan halves Miniature marshmallows Place shredded potatoes in a buttered rectangular pan. Mix all other ingredients except marshmallows and pecan halves. Pour mixture over potatoes. Bake at 325 degrees, uncovered for 1 1/2 hours. Then top with pecan halves and bake 30 minutes. Add a layer of marshmallows and return to oven for about 5 minutes or until slightly brown. |
