MINNESOTA SWEDISH SALAD 
1 head lettuce
1/2 c. diced green pepper
1 c. sliced celery
1 red onion, thinly sliced
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas, do not cook
2 c. salad dressing (Original Ranch)
2 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. grated cheese, cheddar
8 slices fried bacon, crumble

Break lettuce into small pieces and spread in a 9 x 13 inch Pyrex dish. Layer celery, green pepper, frozen peas, and onions. Do not cook peas. Spread dressing over top like a frosting. Sprinkle sugar on dressing. Sprinkle grated cheese and crumbled bacon. Cover and refrigerate.

NOTE: Make 24 hours ahead of time.
