OVEN BARBECUED SPARERIBS 
4 lb. pork spareribs
1 tbsp. butter
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 c. catsup
1/3 c. chili sauce
2 tbsp. brown sugar
2 tbsp. chopped onions
1 tbsp. prepared mustard
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. celery seed
1/4 tsp. salt
dash of bottled hot pepper sauce
3 thin lemon slices

Cut ribs in serving-size pieces. In large saucepan, cover ribs with salted water. Cover and simmer until nearly tender, about 1 hour. Meanwhile, in saucepan, melt butter; add garlic and cook 4 to 5 minutes. Add remaining ingredients; bring to boil. Drain ribs; place in shallow baking pan. Pour boiling sauce over ribs.

Bake in 350°F oven for 20 minutes, basting often with sauce.

Makes 4 servings.
